Hidden Treasures: Your Story as a Gift

We all have stories to tell.   We tell to remember who we are.   What treasures do we pass on to future generations?   What distinguishes written language from spoken language?  Discover how a memory can be shaped into a story and become a gift worth passing on.

Storytelling is at the heart of human experience, nourishing the deepest roots of heart and mind.   Stories help us find meaning and connection, whether it's our holiday celebrations or our family stories.  This four-session workshop focuses on storytelling by exploring the unique power of the spoken word.   We will create a community of tellers and listeners and experience how through the act of telling and being listened to we can connect to our past, and arrive at a sense of self-worth and appreciation of others.  Please note our focus is not on writing a memoir!  However, the interactive speaking and listening activities will support and enhance your writing.
