Report Card Season Help: Exploring the Link Between Academic Performance and Cognitive Skills

Cognitive skills determine our academic and professional success.  However, school resources and curricula are not equipped to assess and train individual cognitive skills.  So, grades suffer or students struggle and try to compensate.  The best way to make learning efficient and pleasant is by identifying the cognitive skills that cause the difficulty and then training them.

Cognitive skills can be trained in as few as three months, with dramatic improvements.  So if you know someone that is working too hard to do well or having trouble doing well, perhaps you should learn about cognitive skils in this interactive discussion and brief presentation on the neuroscience behind learning and how our brains can be trained to become sharper and faster for optimal learning.
