Bill Offutt, a retired Montgomery County Public Schools teacher, will present "The Rich History of Montgomery County- Including Bethesda"  on November 6th at 10:25 am.

Offut, the author of "Bethesda: A Social History", will speak at River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation (RRUUC), Bethesda, Md., in the Fireside Room. Offut has lectured in adult education programs of Montgomery County, as well as at Johns Hopkins University. He also has completed a study of junior high schools in the County, and updated a volume entitled "Centuries of Change", a pictorial history of Montgomery County. He has  created a history course of the County written especially for elementary school children.
