Report: Strawberry Milk Banished From Montgomery County School Cafeterias
"It was the right thing to do," a school official tells The Washington Post.

As of January, strawberry milk will lose its place in the cafeteria line at Montgomery County’s public schools.
The Washington Post reports that pink milk will be phased out. Marla R. Caplon, the director of food and nutrition services, told The Post that the she could no longer make the case for strawberry flavored milk since milk is not naturally pink and because it had preservatives.

"It was the right thing to do," Caplon told The Post.
In a month, public school students in Montgomery County consumed 14,363 gallons of the pink drink, accounting for 18 percent of student milk servings, The Post reports.
