Students Take to Twitter to Denounce Montgomery Schools On-Time Start

Montgomery County Public School students and parents are voicing their displeasure over classes starting as normal Feb. 26 as the snow falls.

Students were using Twitter Wednesday morning to trash a decision by the Montgomery County Public Schools to start classes as normal while the snow falls.

Some were posting photos of car accidents on metro roads or people who had fallen. While some of the comments merely questioned the wisdom of not delaying classes, others were profane and might issue another reminder from district officials about the need for cybercivility.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire Washington, D.C., and Baltimore regions until noon Wednesday.
