NBC4: High-scoring 11-year-old is on college recruiters' radars.

A Bethesda boy is ranked as the No. 1 fourth-grade basketball player in the nation.

A Bethesda boy, 11-year-old Zion Harmon, has been ranked No. 1 in the nation for fourth-grade basketball players, NBC4 Washington reports.

Zion scores between 30 and 40 points a game, and his father, Michael Harmon, is his coach, Dianna Russini of NBC4 Sports reported.

Companies that set up regional tournaments rank the players, but it's not high school basketball programs that want the information—it's Division I collegiate basketball programs that want to know who the best preteen players are, Russini reported.

Speak out: Is 11 too young to be scouted by college teams? Can future basketball stardom be predicted as early as fourth grade? Is this a good thing for kids? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
