Bethesda Golfer Honored For Battling Breast Cancer

Faye Bildman honored with "Going the Distance" award.

A Bethesda resident is being honored for making a difference in the fight against breast cancer – through golf.

Faye Bildman was recently awarded the Pinnacle “Going the Distance” award, which recognizes golfers making an impact in the battle against the disease. Bildman, who was nominated by the community, has chaired the local Rally for the Cure tournament for the past 15 years – raising almost $175,000 for breast cancer research.

She also participates in the annual Susan. G. Komen Race for the Cure, and as a 33-year breast cancer survivor, mentors other patients. The award honors ten recipients across the country, and Pinnacle will make a $10,000 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for each awardee. Congrats!
