Bethesda-Chevy Chase Youth Baseball Team Wins Tournament

The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Under-12 Select All-Star Team won the 2013 Howard County Baseball Invitational Tournament on Sunday, July 21.

The young baseball players on the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Under-12 Select All-Star Team had much to celebrate last Sunday after winning the 2013 Howard County Baseball Invitational Tournament.

The boys were victorious all weekend, as they went undefeated (5-0) in the tournament, Joseph Farren, father of one of the players, reported to Patch.

This weekend, the young athletes will compete in the Doc Bonaccorso Summer Classic tournament in Arlington, VA, Farren added.

The team is coached by Neal Nemeroff and Steve Carboni (holding the trophy in the photo), both residents of Bethesda.
