Congressional Ranks in Golf Digest's Top 100 Courses

Congressional's blue course came in at #77 on the publication's 2011 ranking.

A golf course at Bethesda’s Congressional Country Club has once again made Golf Digest’s prestigious list of top golf courses in the country.

The list, America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses, was established in 1966 and is known as the game's oldest ranking, according to the publication.

Congressional’s blue course ranked at number 77 on the list. The biennial ranking is considered to be a leading indicator of course quality, according to the publication.

The number 77 ranking is a slight drop from 2009, when the course came in at number 66.

Congressional is preparing for the spotlight as it gears up to host the 2011 U.S. Open in June.
