Saturday Birding with Locust Grove

Each spring The Potomac River valley is a super flyway for migrating birds making their way from South America to their summer nesting sites in the north.

Beginning April 2012, Jay and Dianne Jones return for their third spring bird walk season at Locust Grove. The Joneses have long been active in the local birding community, and have led walks at many birding “hotspots” in the metro area. Walks are limited to 10 participants (ages 10 and up).

They encourage birders (beginner, novice, or expert) to join them for a morning walk.  Binoculars and spotting scopes are provided. If you have your own binoculars, please bring them. Please register at www.ParkPASS.org.
