Vote for Bethesda's own gold medalist in USA Swimming's version of the Academy Awards.

Bethesda's own gold medalist Katie Ledecky has been nominated in the "Golden Goggle" awards.

Organized by the USA Swimming Foundation, the Golden Goggles—swimming's answer to the Academy Awards—honor the top performances in American swimming.

At 15, Ledecky took gold during London's Summer Olympics in the women's 800m freestyle. Ledecky, who was the youngest member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team, is a sophomore at the Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart.

Fans can support Ledecky by voting online. Five percent of the final poll will be determined by the online ballot, combined with the votes of the Golden Goggle voting panel.
