Washington Nationals: 1 of the Least Popular Baseball Teams

The Nats ranked 26th out of 30 in a popularity poll.

The number of Stephen Strasburg and Bryce Harper jerseys wandering around the Washington, DC, area aside, the Washington Nationals aren’t a very popular baseball team. A recent poll of America’s Favorite Baseball Teams by Harris Interactive placed the newly resurrected team at 26th out of 30 baseball teams.

America’s favorite teams aren’t surprising: The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, with the Atlanta Braves, L.A. Dodgers and a tie between the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers rounding out the top five.

The good news, though, is that the Nats are slightly more popular now than they were last year, when they ranked 27th.
