I’ve recently gotten the contest bug.
Earlier this year, I started asking businesses to offer something for free to give away to my Tim's Deals followers. It feels great to make someone’s day by informing them that they won a $20, $50, or $100 free gift. Many of my followers have won multiple times and many more have been surprised (and plenty pleased) when a business I work with decides to give up a handful of unannounced runner-up awards.
I spent this past weekend rummaging through my Facebook, Twitter, and newsletter feeds. As someone who lives in the world of deals, I was quite surprised to find contests everywhere I turned.
So I decided I might as well enter some contests myself (not my own contest, of course)!
I’ve entered everything from trying to win a trip to Belgium to a Dad Den Upgrade to a pair of Margaritaville shoes.
My favorite contests are the seemingly “easier” local contests like the ones I run that don’t presumably have thousands of entries from the 50 states and beyond, such as Cat in the Hat performance tickets, a $25 restaurant gift certificate monthly for a year, and a set of CDs given away by a local blogger.
We'll see how I fare. I'm not afraid to share the wealth and water down my chances, so have at it. I'll be posting contests on Pinterest as I find them and welcome you to join me! As a disclaimer, I am not being paid to promote any of the contests you find at this link.
