U.S. Renal Care Bethesda Dialysis Center to Provide Life-Saving Care for Area Patients

Patients from Bethesda and nearby communities in need of dialysis treatment will soon have greater access to quality care, thanks to a new U.S. Renal Care facility at 4701 Sangamore Road, Suite P017.

Area leaders, patients and health care advocates will gather Tuesday, March 4 at 3:00 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the state-of-the-art dialysis facility that will serve Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. patients.

The event – which is open to the public – will include a speaking program, facility tour and an official ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the clinic. Refreshments will be provided.

The Bethesda facility will help meet the rising demand for dialysis services. As many as 1 in 3 U.S. adults could have diabetes – the leading cause of chronic kidney disease – by 2050, if current trends continue, according to an analysis from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Speaking at the event will be U.S. Renal Care Bethesda Medical Director Dr. Steven Burka, Division President of the National Kidney Foundation Pam Gatz, Bethesda Fire Chief Larry Gaddis, and U.S. Renal Care patient Alma Brown. We'll also have representatives from Congressman Chris Van Hollen's office, the Bethesda Chamber of Commerce, and the Montgomery County Council.
