Slight Chance of Snow This Week

We could get a smidgen of snow Tuesday morning.

By Jenni Pompi and Laura L. Thornton

Could we see snow on Tuesday morning?

It's possible, depending on where you're located. The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang predicts cold temperatures on Tuesday morning, "with scattered snow flurries and showers (40 percent chance)."

"Any snow may briefly reduce visibility in spots (best chance west and northwest of the District) but shouldn’t stick. Skies are variably cloudy, with partial sunshine at times in the afternoon but a flurry or two still possible," the Capital Weather Gang reported with a "medium" confidence level.

Similarly, the National Weather Service is calling for a 30 percent chance of snow before 9 a.m. Tuesday, with temperatures as low as 27 degrees.

High temperatures should be in the upper 30s and low 40s on Tuesday, and temperatures should rebound by the end of the week, the Capital Weather Gang added.
