Burger Palace, Haunted Garden Open; Panda Cam Returns; Temps Decrease

Things to know this week in Bethesda and Chevy Chase.

Here are five things to know this week in and around Bethesda and Chevy Chase:

1.) Temperatures will decrease a little bit each day this week, starting in the high 60s on Monday, and getting down to the mid-50s on Friday, The Weather Channel reported on its website Sunday night. There may be showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, the website added.

2.) Silver Spring's Haunted Garden will be open for visitors on Oct. 25 and 26, from 6 to 10 p.m. For more information, visit the event's website and Facebook page.

3.) Tuesday, Oct. 22, is opening day for the newest Bobby's Burger Palace, at the Westfield Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd.) in Bethesda. Flay will open the restaurant himself at noon that day.

4.) The Smithsonian National Zoo is open again, and the panda cam is working. Get a glimpse of what Baby Girl Panda (she doesn't get a name until her 100th day birthday, as per Chinese tradition, according to a zoo FAQ) looks like these days on the Giant Panda Cam and in these photos.
