Sun Ahead, Shutdown Specials Continue, Watch Out for Deer

Things to know in Bethesda and Chevy Chase this week.

Here are a few things happening in and around Bethesda and Chevy Chase the week of Monday, Oct. 14:

1.) Temperatures will be in the low 70s through Thursday, and will drop into the high 60s on Friday. Skies will be partly cloudy through Wednesday. Expect a few showers on Thursday and Friday, The Weather Channel reported on Sunday night.

3.) While the federal government shutdown continues, so do a variety of shutdown specials. Here are the shutdown specials (food/drink and exercise/relaxation/entertainment) in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase area.

5.) It's deer-mating season, so watch out for the deer, especially during commuting times, which coincide with high times of deer activity, according to AAA.
