Kids are doing good things in Montgomery County. That’s what Rep. Chris Van Hollen’s Public Service Award aims to show.

The award program was established to recognize graduating high school seniors in the Eighth Congressional District. High schools nominated students who made contributions to their school or to their community or to both.

Van Hollen announced this week the third and final round of awardees.

In a statement released by the congressman, a spokesperson said the award “reflects Congressman Van Hollen’s strong belief in the importance of community involvement and his desire to recognize individuals who are dedicated to serving others.”
