Husband and wife team, Michelle and Todd Bracken, along with Michelle's mom Anne, launched Frosting in June 2010 to great acclaim. Since then, they have been serving up deliciously decadent cupcakes such as "Raspberry Zzzzzurbert" and "Happy!" from family recipes. The light blue and white decor is refreshingly elegant, and the indoor and outdoor seating make this the perfect spot to eat-in, or order a cupcake and coffee to go. Best. Cupcakes. EVER! If we ever need cupcakes for a special occasion, we go to Frosting!
Frosting is by far the best coffee shop in Chevy Chase! The Illy coffee is so rich it makes Starbucks (which I used to like) taste like swill. The sunny round table and outdoor seating are the perfect places to relax and watch the world go by. The baked goods are fluffy, flavorful and just the right size. Their gluten free options are also the best around! The owners and their staff are super friendly and passionate about making great coffee and treats for their customers.

Love the Nilla Nilla Cupcake, BaBa's Baby, The Blueberry Lemon Poundcake and the Blueberry Muffin. Yummo!!! I'm excited to try other things. I work right across the street.
