The Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ has been located on Westmoreland Circle, just north of the Washington, D.C. border, for 60 years. The congregation dates back to 1886 with roots in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of the District. The church community is a hybrid of the United Church of Christ and Congregational denominations. The church features religious education for children and adults, as well as a popular music program and a concert series that benefits area charities. The church also has a youth minister and youth groups for children of all ages.
