Water Main Break Closes Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA
Crews are working to determine source of leak, Y reps say.
An internal water main break has closed the Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA. The break has affected the facility's pool area, said Daniella Thompson, YBCC marketing director. The Y has hired a contractor to locate the source of the leak, said Brian Nason, the facility's associate executive director. “We have people here working on it to get it repaired,” Nason said. “We’re hoping we can open asap.” The Y is alerting its members through social media that the branch is closed "indefinitely" as of noon Thursday.
