Artist Carol Gellner Levin creates one-of-a-kind sculptures of clay and mixed media that capture the subtle nuances of human interactions and emotions. Her work is currently featured in the group show "Character of Chevy Chase" at the Zenith Gallery from July 20 to Sept. 10. Working as a social worker in adoptions and foster care, Levin began making sculptures in the mid-'70s when she decided to take art therapy classes at The George Washington University. “I realized I liked the art a good deal, probably more than the therapy," Levin says. "So I pursed the art and loved it.” And the art community loved her work.
