Pavilion's $32M-Makover Includes Cigar Lounge, LED Wall

The Chevy Chase Pavilion's $32-million renovation should be complete by fall 2012.

Come September, the Chevy Chase Pavilion will have a whole new look. Gone will be the Pavilion's signature atrium canopy, according to Washington Business Journal. Instead, there will be a 30-by-60-foot “synchronized LED wall designed to display various colors and graphics” and termed a “new media venue.” There will also be new finishes and elevators, Washington Business Journal reports. The entire renovation will cost about $32 million. One of the new businesses opening inside the Chevy Chase Pavilion will be RANGE, a “whole-animal,” open-kitchen, 275-seat restaurant and bakery by celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio. “I could not be more excited about both the RANGE concept and the space that we have secured in the Chevy Chase Pavilion,” …

Rumor has it an H&M may go into the old Pottery Barn location, expanded to be 3 levels as opposed to two. That's what staff in other stores in the Pavilion have been saying. Can't confirm for sure.   more ›
