Don't believe it. In the 2010 election, our legislators from District 18 and District 20 who went to Annapolis told the voters over and over again just how safe and wonderful Montgomery County is. They said Montgomery County was an idyllic place and the voters believed them. Little if any crime. Police Blotter: Aug. 22 - 30

A robbery and two burglaries in Chevy Chase were included in the summary of major crimes for Montgomery County.

A robbery occurred in the 7300 block of Maple Avenue on Thursday, Aug. 25, at about 4:30 p.m. The suspects took property from the victim and fled, according to the recently-released Montgomery County Police summary for major crimes occurring between Aug. 22 and 30. One suspect is a black male about 25 to 30 years old; between 6 feet and 6 feet, 4 inches, tall; between 320 and 350 pounds; and with a tattoo of a tear under his right eye. The other suspect is a black male between 25 and 30 years old and described as thin but muscular in physique. The police summary also describes the suspects' getaway car as being of an older model, light blue, four-door Ford Crown Victoria sedan. Two burglaries in Chevy Chase were also listed in the police …
