Good morning, Chevy Chase! It's Monday, June 6, and here are five things to know about today: 1.) Expect nice weather today—sunny and in the mid-80s—and more of the same, if a bit hotter, tomorrow. By Wednesday, though, our next heat wave will be pushing through the region for the end of the week. But while the nice weather lasts, remember not to leave your house windows open while you're away from home. Always shut and lock your windows when you leave to prevent burglaries from happening. 2.) Expect temperatures to be in the upper 80s, expect humidity and expect thunderstorms in the afternoon. Be on the lookout for hail. The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second floor of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, at 4805 Edgemoor Lane in downtown Bethesda. Today, we'll see more of the same sort of weather we saw yesterday, only it'll be a little bit more rainy, and the rain will be a little bit more intense in the afternoon or evening. Temps will be in the mid-70s, and the humidity levels will be high.  2.) Tonight at the Rockville Library (21 Maryland Ave., Rockville) from 7 - 10 p.m., the Partnership for Extraordinary Minds will hold a Parent Meeting in which parents of children on the autism spectrum will speak on their experiences in dealing with the school system. Good morning, Chevy Chase! As we start a new work week, here are five things to know today: 1.) Today we'll have partly cloudy skies, with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms, so don't forget your umbrella. Today's high temperature will be about 75 degrees. There'll be about a 60 percent chance of rain tonight, with a low temperature in the upper 50s.  2.) The path connecting the Town of Somerset and the Village of Friendship Heights opens back up today, although—due to construction—the path will not be in mint condition, the Town of Somerset reports.  3.)
