A site on Hampden Lane in Bethesda has been acquired by developers Toll Brothers, Inc.
A site at 4915 Hampden Lane will soon be transformed into a seven-story residential building with 60 luxury condos and underground parking. The plans were announced in a Thursday press release by luxury homebuilder Toll Brothers, which has acquired the site and opened a Washington, DC, office in downtown Bethesda. A fall groundbreaking is expected for the project, according to the release, with sales opening in spring of 2014. Two men received awards from the developer of Lasko Manor, a homeless housing development that opened in November.
Two men who helped smooth the way for permanent homeless housing in downtown Bethesda received awards this month from the developer. As a result of their work, 12 formerly homeless Montgomery County residents now reside in Lasko Manor, the new $4.3 million, 12-unit permanent housing complex for the formerly homeless on Hampden Lane, owned and managed by the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC), a nonprofit housing developer.
