A checklist of things to do to prepare your house for winter
I have always loved winter. Whenever snow was in the forecast, I along with my two children, put our pajamas on inside out. Apparently, the ritual is that you are supposed to put a spoon under your pillow as well. And don't try this magic when there is no prediction of snowfall, it doesn't work. By the time we hit the second major snow storm last winter and the ice dams had caused my bathroom floor to warp and my ceiling to leak, not to mention my shoveling-induced aching back, my love of winter was seriously challenged.
