Report: Relic Denied Renewal of Liquor License

Liquor board denies renewal following complaints of rowdy, intoxicated crowds, Bethesda Magazine reports.

Bethesda’s Relic has been denied a renewal of its liquor license following complaints of rowdy, intoxicated crowds outside the establishment, Bethesda Magazine reports. The Fairmont Avenue bar and restaurant is appealing the Montgomery County liquor board’s June 7 decision not to renew its liquor license, Bethesda Magazine reports. And June 12, a Montgomery County judge ruled the establishment couldn’t serve alcohol during the appeal process, according to Bethesda Magazine. “The police were having a lot of issues during closing time,” Emily DeTitta, licensing and outreach manager for the county Department of Liquor Control, told Bethesda Magazine. “They specifically said it was generated from the crowd coming out of Relic….people were …

The bethesda police department has been discriminating against Relic Patrons. we heard them several time saying that they didn't want black/Latino people in bethesda and that is the real truth about Relic...
