Man Hit by Train in Friendship Heights Recovers

Ten months ago, Victor Robinson was hit by a Red Line train.

When Victor Robinson, 42, fell on Metro's tracks in Friendship Heights during an epileptic seizure last August, the delays on the Red Line were so lengthy that "Friendship Heights" was trending on Twitter. But the inconvenience to the Metro riders was minuscule compared to what happened to Robinson: He was removed from the tracks via a rope system, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Chief Scott Graham explained, and ended up losing his right foot, The Washington Post reported. After spending "months in the hospital, undergoing surgeries and hours and hours of therapy," he is doing better, and is now at his parents' home in Washington, DC's Petworth neighborhood, The Post recently reported.
