Bethesda, Medical Center Metro Stations To Close This Weekend

Free shuttle buses will replace Red Line trains between the Friendship Heights and Grosvenor Metro stations from 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, through system closing on Sunday, Oct. 21. The Bethesda and Medical Center Metro stations will be closed. The weekend closures will "allow for rail renewal, fastener replacement, grout pad rehabilitation and leak mitigation," according to Metro's website. Red Line trains will operate in two segments throughout the weekend: between Shady Grove and Grosvenor, and between Friendship Heights and Glenmont.
