Police: Armed Robbery At Montgomery Mall May Have Been Drug-Related

Four men threatened a male victim with a handgun near a mall stairwell Feb. 21, according to a police spokeswoman.

An armed robbery at the Westfield Montgomery Mall Feb. 21 may have been drug-related, according to Mongomery County police. Four men threatened another man with a handgun near a mall stairwell, according to police spokeswoman Angela Cruz. The robbery, which happened around 7:30 p.m., did not happen inside a store, Cruz said. The men stole property from the victim, according to a recent crime summary.

Surveillance Photographs Released of North Bethesda Burglary Suspect

Police say the man stole cash and electronics from a North Bethesda business.

Montgomery County police have released images of a man they say stole cash and electronics from a North Bethesda business, and they're asking the public for help in identifying him. The man forced open the door of a locked office in the 11100 block of Rockville Pike overnight on Jan. 28 to 29, according to a Montgomery County police news release.  Police say surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect. They're asking anyone who recognizes the man to call 301-657-0112. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online.  Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment in the case.

Woman Reports Sex Offense During Massage At Bethesda Spa

An employee of the Jolie Day Spa has been charged with fourth degree sex offense following the incident.

An employee of a Bethesda day spa has been charged after a woman reported a sexual offense while receiving a massage there in November of 2012. The Jolie Day Spa, where the incident is said to have occurred, has since closed. It's not clear why the spa closed or whether the closure is related to the allegations. The victim told Mongomery County Police she had been receiving a massage at the spa Nov. 20 and was alone in the room with a male massage therapist when she fell asleep, according to charging documents. When she woke, she said the man was kissing and touching her inappropriately. Police have charged the man, Louis Williams, 55, of the 10400 block of Tullymore Drive in Adelphi, with fourth degree sexual offense and second degree …

I don't know if that was the intent but since reading this review things have only gotten worse for her. Haven't been able to stop her tears and I have not been able to get her out of bed. Police Investigate Hate Crime Vandalism Incident in Bethesda

Police: Swastikas and anti-gay slurs were painted on a police K-9 vehicle in the Woodhaven neighborhood.

Montgomery County police are searching for suspects who vandalized a car and a police vehicle in the Woodhaven neighborhood with profanity, swastikas and anti-gay slurs, according to a news release issued by police Friday. Police responded around 3:15 a.m. Sunday to the 6700 block of Melody Lane in Bethesda for a report of a vandalism, the release said. They discovered spray painted images of male genitalia and profanity on a car. They also discovered a police K-9 vehicle that had been spray painted with explicit images, profanity, a swastika and anti-gay slurs, the release said. Whitman Student Allegedly Robbed Fellow Student in School Bathroom

Police say a student shoved another student into a school bathroom and stole money.

Montgomery County Police say a 16-year-old Walt Whitman High School student pushed a fellow student into a school bathroom and stole his money. The incident occurred Feb. 8. According to police spokeswoman Officer Rebecca Innocenti, the student and the victim, also a 16-year-old Whitman student, were walking down a school hallway around 7:44 a.m. when the boy grabbed the victim by his outer clothing and pushed him into a bathroom. Innocenti said the student searched through the victim's pockets and stole money. The student was arrested at school and brought to the Second District Police station for processing, Innocenti said. He was charged with robbery, second-degree assault and theft under $100 and was released to his guardians. The …

Police: Suburban Emergency Room Patient Threatened To Shoot Officer

Police allege a 32-year-old Kensington man being treated at Suburban told an officer, “Come closer so I can take your gun and shoot you. I will kill you.”

Police say an emergency room patient at Suburban Hospital has been charged with threatening to shoot a police officer and poked him in the chest. Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Officer Rebecca Innocenti said a police officer was at the Bethesda hospital on a call around 9 p.m. Feb. 6 when an emergency room patient began yelling and threatening the officer. The patient, a 32-year-old Kensington man, allegedly told the officer, “Come closer so I can take your gun and shoot you. I will kill you.” The man then poked the officer in the chest, Innocenti said.  Police restrained the man, but he was not arrested because he was being treated at the hospital, Innocenti said. B-CC Student Punched in School Stairwell; Teen Charged

A B-CC student has been charged with second-degree assault for allegedly punching a fellow student.

Police say a 16-year-old Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School student has been charged with second-degree assault for allegedly punching another student in a school stairwell. Police responded to the school at 8:11 a.m. Feb 6, according to Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Officer Rebecca Innocenti. The boy struck a 15-year-old victim in the chest with his fist, Innocenti said. The teens had been having a conversation prior to the assault, but it's not clear what they were discussing, Innocenti said. The 16-year-old suspect was charged, but wasn't arrested at school, Innocenti said.
