Mall's latest offering features high-end footwear.
Spotted in Bethesda: Stuart Weitzman is open at Westfield Montgomery Mall, giving area fasionistas another option for high-end footwear. The store opened Jan. 3, according to Westfield Montgomery Mall spokesperson Joanna Caputi. Currently, Stuart Weitzman is having a sale – up to 50 percent off select shoes – as an opening promotion. “Deli is dying, supposedly, but we want to prove to the world and the Washington area that deli is alive and we’re looking forward to opening,” Marc Attman said.
The people asked, and the Attman family answered – a second location of Baltimore’s famed Attman’s Deli will open in May at the Cabin John Shopping Center in Potomac. According to Marc Attman, the Montgomery County location has been years in the making, after numerous Potomac locals made the hour-long trek to Baltimore for a Pastrami sandwich and to hint that a closer location would be welcomed with open arms. “People have asked us for years to come to Potomac,” he said. “They come into Baltimore for the deli, for catering, and always wish we would come out there. Make Meaning, which offers creative activities for adults and kids, is popular amongst celebrity moms.
A popular family activity chain that's drawn the attention of celebrities including Melissa Joan Hart and Katie Holmes is targeting Bethesda for its newest location. Make Meaning—a shop that offers artistic activities for kids and adults—is set to open in early March 2013 on Bethesda Avenue. The shop offers seven “creative experiences” that include cake decorating, ceramics, candles, glass, jewelry, soap and paper. Seven new businesses are coming to the area.
Business has been booming lately for the Westfield Montgomery Mall located on the border of Potomac and Bethesda. We contacted the mall’s director of marketing, Joanna Caputi, to find out what the community can expect next. The mall has seven new businesses, two that already have opened and five more to open in the coming months, Caputi said. Brook Taylor Interiors replaces Amber Fields on Brookville Road.
Brook Taylor Interiors, a new store, is opening on Saturday, April 9, in the former Amber Fields space at 7013 Brookville Road, store manager Jenny Riffle said. The store, like its predecessor, will feature high-end interior design furnishings, accessories and custom window treatments. But the products stocked will be somewhat different.
