Bullis Senior Remembered for Humor, Strength, Smile

Though Cami Baruch suffered from ulcerative colitis, the cause of her sudden death remains unclear.

The cause of death remains undetermined for Bullis senior Camille Baruch, who died suddenly last weekend at her home in Rockville. The 19-year-old excelled at her schoolwork even though she missed many school days due to her struggle with ulcerative colitis, which caused her to undergo several surgeries, including one that removed her large intestine, family said. Despite her condition, family said that Baruch was healthy, going out with friends and attending school immediately before her death. She had recently applied to colleges and was hoping for an acceptance letter from Cornell, where her older brother attends school. New York Times Gives High Praise To DC Food Scene

See where Washington, DC, ranks on the New York Times annual list of places to visit.

The New York Times has released its list of the top 46 places to visit in 2013 worldwide, and sitting among tropical getaways and exotic locals is Washington, DC—but the reason DC makes the list might surprise you. The area’s food scene, not its world-class museums, place DC at No. 44 on The Times' list. “A new food scene to welcome a renewed administration,” reads the title on DC’s listing.
