A group of community leaders appointed by County Executive Isiah Leggett called the Pepco Work Group is conducting the surveys. Two different surveys are offered, one for businesses, another for residential customers. A press release about the extended deadline, which was supposed to be today, read “The survey is designed to obtain information on how the public views Pepco’s service, the extent to which customers have experienced outages, the economic impact of those outages and some insight as to what additional costs customers would be willing to incur in exchange for improved service.” The group is investigating the reliability of Pepco’s service in the …

"the economic impact of those outages and some insight as to what additional costs customers would be willing to incur in exchange for improved service." Good old utility companies, only willing to provide the service we already pay for if we pay more for the service we have already payed for! Meanwhile the executives at Pepco are most likely making obscene paychecks. Trickle down at it's finest!   more ›

Now, I don't live in a remote area but 3 blocks East of Connecticut Avenue inside the beltway...if PEPCO actually did bring in help, and the outage numbers are as low as they say they are, why aren't all those workers restoring us now? If the other surrounding utilities have nearly everyone …   more ›
