Saks Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Saks Fifth Avenue in Chevy Chase was lit up in pink Wednesday night during the annual Key to the Cure fundraiser.

Saks Fifth Avenue in Chevy Chase went pink on Wednesday night, Oct. 17, during the annual Key to the Cure Kick-Off Event, the proceeds from which will benefit women's cancer programs at Suburban Hospital. It was a night of high glamor and lots of pink—in scarves, dresses, neckties and even in feather boas and hot pink wigs available for dressing up in at the photo booths. Tickets started at $75 each, and the event was sold out, with more than 850 tickets sold. As of Thursday morning, more than $160,000 had been tallied from the event, according to Cynthia L. Free Wi-Fi Amid Frocks Worth 100s of Dollars

Now at Saks Fifth Avenue in Chevy Chase: free Wi-Fi.

Not everything at Saks Fifth Avenue costs hundreds of dollars. In fact, there's even something that's free: the Wi-Fi. Saks Fifth Avenue and AT&T have teamed up to bring Wi-Fi to all of the store's 44 retail locations across the country, the store announced on Monday. "The Wi-Fi network will allow Saks Fifth Avenue customers to have a more connected, interactive shopping experience, whether it’s consulting with a friend for a second opinion or using the new Saks Fifth Avenue app, which features shareable wish lists, fashion look books, event calendars and more," according to a statement. Saks Announces Release of Exclusive Fendi Perfume

For nostrils that can't get enough, a new fragrance evokes the Roman sun with notes of fruit and pink peppercorns.

For nostrils that can't get enough, a new fragrance—sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue for the next two months—evokes the Roman sun with notes of fruit and pink peppercorns. Fendi’s new fragrance, Fan di Fendi Eau de Parfum, launched last Friday at the Wisconsin Avenue Saks. The refreshing fragrance is made from juicy pear, black currant and tangerine essences, and is enriched with pink peppercorns. The perfume embodies the Roman sun and electric Roman nights, according to the press release. The perfume is packaged in a leather pouch as a tribute to Fendi’s leather and fur pieces.  The bottle was designed specifically for the fragrance.
