Thanksgiving Day: What's Closed, What's Free?

Liquor stores will be closed and parking in county lots and at county meters will be free-of-charge on Thanksgiving Day.

For those not leaving Bethesda for Thanksgiving, here's a rundown on what's closed for the holiday: County-provided curbside trash and recycling pickups will not take place on Thanksgiving Day, and will slide by one day, through Saturday. Also, on Thanksgiving:

The weather for Thanksgiving week is what forecasters might call "typical," if there is such a thing these days. Monday should remain cloudy with temperatures in the low 50s, dropping to about 40 degrees Monday night, according to the National Weather Service. Tuesday will be partly sunny, with temperatures in the mid-50s during the day, dropping to the high 30s at night. Partly sunny skies are forecast for Wednesday, with temperatures again in the mid-50s. At night, temperatures drop to the high 30s.
