B-CC Hires Two New Coaches for Spring Season
Cari Huffman to lead varsity softball team; Marie Cornejo takes over co-ed volleyball
With the spring sports season less than two months away, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School has filled two head-coaching vacancies, promoting junior varsity softball coach Cari Huffman to the varsity position and hiring Marie Cornejo to lead the co-ed volleyball team. Huffman, who teaches 8th grade history at Benjamin Banneker Middle School, held assistant coaching positions at Quince Orchard and Crossland high schools before spending the last two years leading the Barons' JV squad. A 2003 graduate of Quince Orchard, where she played softball under coach Patty Truitt, Huffman went on to play for two seasons at Montgomery College in Rockville.
