In our second "Readers' Choice" contest, in which we asked readers to tell us about their favorite workout spots, the Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA emerged as the most popular workout spot in the area. "What a great and diverse place to work out," wrote Patch reader June Gardner in a review of the YMCA. "There are the standards: weights, machines, etc. and then there are the multiple pools (outdoor pool year 'round: fabulous!) as well as classes, tennis, sauna, etc. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful; it feels like family," Gardner added.
