This post has been updated to indicate the public meeting for the Maplewood-Alta Vista Park Activity Building, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 18 and listed in this article, has been canceled. The YMCA has withdrawn its proposal for the activity building. The Y originally proposed to use the activity building, operated by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and closed in 2010 due to low use, for "child care and summer camp programs."
