A Wintry Start to the Week

Sleet and freezing rain coated streets this morning in Bethesda.

Freezing rain coated streets with ice Monday morning and led to a tricky trip to work for commuters. By mid-morning, however, temperatures were warming and rain was melting much of the icy mess. The Washington, DC, region remained under a winter weather advisory. By tomorrow, temperatures are expected to spike, and we could see weather that reaches the high 50s, WJLA reports. Temperatures could reach the 60s on Wednesday, but flurries may return by Friday, according to the report. Did the weather affect your commute into work Monday morning? Are you looking forward to warmer temperatures this week? Tell us in the comments.
