How to Get 50 Free Burritos: Identify Boloco Burglar

A Bethesda eatery is offering an unusual reward for ID'ing the person on a security video.

Bethesda's Boloco restaurant—a burrito eatery serving Mexican foods, smoothies, salads and more, all made with fresh ingredients—is offering an unusual reward for the identification of the person who broke into and stole from the restaurant on Memorial Day, WTOP reports.

The reward: 50 free burritos and $1,000.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department's crime summary, the burglary occurred at the restaurant at 4930 Elm St., Bethesda, at about 2 a.m. May 27. There was no forced entry, according to police.

On YouTube, Boloco posted a video from its security cameras showing the burglary in progress.

In the video, the burglary appears to take place between 2:50 and 3:15 a.m. on May 27. The alleged burglar's head is covered, and he or she appears to know the combination of the safe.

This is not the first time that a restaurant in the Boloco chain—a small, Boston-based restaurant chain with an ecological mindset—has been burgled, according to text accompanying the YouTube video.
